The 63-year-old Simon Phillip Cowell was born on October 7, 1959, in Lambeth, London, and raised in Elstree, Hertfordshire, and he is widely received as an English television personality, entrepreneur, and record executive. He is the founder and sole owner of the British entertainment company Syco and is the creator of the X Factor and Got Talent franchises.

Simon Cowell and his brother Nicholas Cowell are biological brothers who share the same parents. Nicholas is the head of the Cowell Group as a consultant and an estate agent.
